The pre-season high school basketball ratings are out in the Omaha World Herald this week.
The Falls City Tigers are ranked 10th in the Class C-1 poll to start the season coming off last years 14-8 record. The Tigers are loaded with upperclassmen this season. You can hear the Tigers on A-M 1230, KTNC Friday night as the boys and girls open the season at Syracuse. The Rocket boys are ranked 4th in C-1 to start the season.
In the D-2boys poll Ewing begins the season as the top ranked team, one sport ahead of the team that beat them for the title last year, the Sterling Jets. The Jets open the season on the road Friday night at 10th ranked Falls City Sacred Heart, a game you can hear live on SUNY 101.3.
In Class D-1 Freeman is ranked third in the preseason.
There area girls teams are not well represented in the pre-season poll. Falls City Sacred Heart is ranked third in the pre-season poll behind Chambers and Ewing.
