The Johnson-Brock Eagles finish with the best ratings among area teams in the recently completed Nebraska High School Football season.
The Eagles went 11-1 on the year and finish ranked 4th in both the Omaha World-Herald and Lincoln Journal -Star final polls. The Eagles only loss was to Class D-1 State Champ Howells.
Bancroft-Rosalie was 5th and Shelby was ranked 7th & 8th in the final D-1 polls, both teams the Eagles defeated in the playoffs.
In Class C-2 the Humboldt-Table Rock - Steinauer Titans finish the season ranked 5th in the World Herald and 6th in the Lincoln Journal Star with an 8-3 record.
In Class D-2 Sterling finished ranked 9th in the Omaha paper and 10th in the Lincoln paper.
Other area teams ranked this year include Syracuse ranked 4th & 5th in C-1 and Boys Town ranked 3rd in both poll.
