Students who graduate from Southeast
Community College with a degree in manufacturing engineering
technology are now able to transfer and earn a bachelor‘s degree in
the same program at Missouri Western State University in St.
Joseph, Missouri.
The two schools have reached an agreement to allow the transfer
of up to 90 hours from the Nebraska school to the Missouri school.
Dennis Headrick is the vice president for instruction at
Southeast. He said that institutions working together to benefit
students is what higher education should be about.
Headrick said the arrangement allows students to explore
advanced opportunities beyond what his school‘s associate degree
provides them.
Under the agreement, Nebraska transfer students who have
achieved a minimum 3.0 grade-point average can get the in-state
tuition rate from Missouri Western.
